Blind

You look so somber little boy
Please tell me what's the matter
Has someone broken your favorite toy?
Has your kite tail been tattered?
Your eyes long for the light
That they cannot see
You live a quiet life
Longing to be free
You listen for the wind
To tell you tales of time
Of how the people sinned
In a time that there was a God
So gaze out your window
Towards the shining sun
You can't see it But you can feel it
Beaming warm on your face
What's it like to be blind?
Do you see through your heart?
Can you show me sometime?
How to be happy without my sight?
Show me the majesty
In the darkened tranquility…
You listen for the wind
To tell you tales of time
Of how the people sinned
In a time that there was a God
So gaze out your window
Towards the shining sun
You can't see it but you can feel it
Beaming warm on your face
